Silvio De Nigris is an environmental economist at the Sustainable Energy Sector of the Piemonte Region. He is responsible of several initiatives dealing with the promotion of energy efficiency and renewable energy at regional and local level. He is involved in the drafting of the Regional Energy Plan. He delivers an annual Statistical Report on Energy consumption at regional level and is the contact person for the Covenant of Mayor Initiative. He has been involved in more than 20 European projects , a number of them as lead partner. He participates often as speaker in conferences at national and international level and he is engaged as lecturer in training courses or as external expert for assessment procedures.
